Discrimination about studying abroad
I have a friend, called Christian Bouyer, who is an animation designer from Disney Studio. He always responds my puzzles about the discrimination of studying abroad with patience, making me realize there are actually few worries for me to have.
I have dreamed of studying abroad for years, but heard of many terrible experiences about the discrimination as the obstacles when you are furthering your study abroad. Until Christian told me the secret, I realized that the key to preventing yourself from discrimination was hanging out with the locals more often rather than only getting along with the people from your own country. Since you go overseas for learning, you should't just make friends whom you may feel more comfortable with;however, getting close to the foreign friends may make them know more about you, and give you a chance to break the stereotype image they possibly had printed in their mind.
Now, I will not be afraid of the discrimination through the pursuit of the knowledge abroad, and I am looking forward to expressing myself to the people who know little about me.
